A Sophisticated Bride
KISSIMMEE, Fla. -- Gaylord Palms Resort held their 1st Annual Bridal Convention on May 31st, 2009, for “Soon to be Brides”. Brides from all over Central Florida eagerly attended this event in hopes of improving their wedding day and the chaos behind it.
Jayde from XL 106.7 was the host of the show. She presented information based on the vendors, performers, and the fashion show. “It’s like you can plan your wedding in one day,” Jayde said.
With all the wedding vendors’ insight, Jayde favorite was the photo booth called “Shutter Booth”. Shutter Booth is an elegant photo booth design for fun memories, custom logo and text. “That was a unique wedding idea they came up with,” said Jayde.
Karry Castillo, an event planner that was present, explains the importance of brides having an “Event Coordinator” for their wedding regardless of the wedding size. “Start as early as possible planning your wedding day with the best professional in this field,” said Castillo.
Brittney Wells, a soon to be bride in August 2009, said, “I was stress out in the beginning of planning my wedding, but now, this event helped me to become more organized, calmed, and less-stressed with my wedding ideas,” said Wells.
Not only women came for wedding ideas, but for entertainment, grand prize drawing, and a fashion show. “I had a great time at this convention; especially, with performers called “Sophisticated Gents Entertainment,” said Sarah Jones. The Grand Prize Drawing is a 4 day 3 night trip for 2 at the Bimini Bay Resort.
The Fashion Showcase presented bridal gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses from “Solutions Bridal Designer House”. “My favorite bridal gowns was number 37, 14, and the blue bridesmaid dress," said Audie White.
“This show been in progress for a year and a half,” said Fredrick Smith. (Coordinator & performer) “I’ve came from the hood with not much of any thing, but I had supporting parents who provided for me in my upcoming,” said he.
"I’m truly blessed to see these beautiful brides and the joy they feel coming out to this event,” said Smith. This is what makes a “Sophisticated Bridal Show” better each time.
